In 2020, I attempted to contact a few local businesses through a very large "social" media system. I wanted to know if the small businesses were interested in doing anything about the government actions that were affecting their businesses. I manually typed in the message to each one individually; I did not use some mailing list or automated system. After about 4 of these messages, I got the "error" message above. I can't imagine that typing in 4 chat messages is a problem for their "community" of literally billions of users. I am convinced that the content of the message I was sending tripped a wire in the "1984-style" brain that runs social media systems.
Before that, perhaps 15 years ago, I published guest essays for a local newspaper. They stopped printing them because I was against gambling, pornography, and tattoos. But people in my town would write me and call me; they cheered me on, because they felt their views finally had a voice.
As you can see, I have decided to try a personal online publishing approach. We'll see if Big Brother shuts me down here, too. I have no company, corporation, or non-profit with me. I am just a private person writing and publicizing views. And with such a bad taste in my mouth for electronic media, I have chosen to request that anyone wishing to communicate with me would do it in writing (as in paper and a postage stamp).
I have been a mechanical engineer and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) since 1984. I have worked in aerospace, energy, and construction equipment businesses in 3 states. I have published a few books for engineers. I have written a number of technical papers. There are a fair number of patents that list me as an inventor. And, I have written millions of lines of computer code in a bunch of different languages to predict how machines behave, as well as for the electronic brains inside of machines. So I am pretty familiar with software and electronics. I believe I know enough to not trust the organizations that are controlling it all.
I suppose many people would think that I would be a good source of logical information, and my essays usually contain interesting facts. But we don't really run on logic, do we?
